South Louisiana Medical Associates seeks to hire a Pediatrician to work in Houma, LA. Duties include, but are not limited to:
1.
Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
2.
Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
3.
Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
4.
Train and supervise medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.
5.
May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient unit, or research function.
6.
Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
7.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
8.
Complete and close medical records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
This position requires a Doctor of Medicine degree, licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine in Louisiana, a residency in Pediatrics and eligibility for board certification in pediatric medicine.
